An outstanding employer located in County Dublin is actively seeking a Occupational Health Nurse (CNM2 Level).

Recruiting nurses and healthcare assistants for nursing homes and private hospitals is the business of Hollilander Recruitment. For a great firm headquartered in County Dublin, we are now employing PIN holders or DL holders for the Occupational Health Nurse (CNM Level 2).

The OH Nurse will be in charge of managing and overseeing the daily operations of the OH on-site service. The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to supervise case and risk management, health surveillance, and promotion, including health evaluations, assessments of immunity, and immunisations. The OH Nurse Specialist will also take part in committees such IPCC, Health & Safety, Infectious Diseases, accreditation, and Quality and offer advise or feedback. Strong working relationships with senior management, department heads, the HR staff, and present OH Physicians are required of the post holder. There are opportunities for team members to move across all parts of the unit, and thorough training is given.

Job Responsibilities:

Health Assessment, Illness and Injury

  • Pre-placement/pre-employment health evaluations
  • Evaluation of workers exposed to risky practises
  • Reviews of recovery and return to work
  • Supervision of workers who might be exposed to blood-borne viruses
  • Management of reported non-blood-borne virus occupational injuries and illnesses

Immune Status Evaluation and Vaccination

  • Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella & TB
  • Influenza Vaccination
  • COVID19 Vaccination

Case Management / OH Assessment of cases such as:

  • Long-term illness and frequent short-term absence
  • Concerns including stress
  • Pregnancy-related absence

Professional Responsibilities:

  • You must adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland’s (NMBI) rules and procedures as well as the Codes of Practise, Rules, and Guidelines set forth by the organisation. The patient is the one who holds you personally and professionally responsible. Always take responsibility for your own actions.
  • Within the specified clinical area, work with other members of the health care team in accordance with the patient care plan.
  • On the basis of current research and standards, provide safe, thorough nursing, and carry out procedures in accordance with established policy and procedures.
  • Deliver care in a fast, accurate, and safe manner with little supervision.
  • Patients’ needs will be represented when necessary, with regard for their privacy and dignity.
  • Maintain records in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and other healthcare team members.
  • Work within the parameters of hospital and NMBI rules, procedures, and standards.
