GDPR is a new private security and data protection law enforced in all EU countries. With the GDPR, Europe is signaling its firm stance on data privacy and security. It replaces the EU’s 1995 Data protection Directive that required EU member states to enact their own data protection laws within certain minimum standards.

At Hollilander, we are committed to ensuring the security and protection of the personal information and details of the candidates and employers that we process and provide a compliant and consistent approach to data protection. Our main policy and procedure have been overhauled to meet the standards and requirements of GDPR. Accountability measures are in place to ensure obligation and responsibility focusing on the privacy rights of individuals.

Our GDPR Principles
Our principles for processing personal information are:
• We take protecting your privacy seriously, and we recognise we have a duty of care to people whose data we hold.
• We only process personal information only after the consent of candidates and make it clear why we are doing so and how it will be used.
• Where practical, we do not keep personal information for longer than necessary
